The Demon in the Snow

 begins with Gatoh and his henchman ready to attack Zabuza. Gatoh attempts to humiliate Zabuza and the crowd laughs at him. Zabuza, losing his contract to kill Tazuna, loses his interest in fighting Kakashi. Gatoh hits the dead Haku with his cane. Naruto runs to attack Gatoh but is halted by Kakashi. Zabuza says he used Haku only as a tool and has no regrets.

Naruto is very upset about how Zabuza reacted to Haku’s death, stating how much Haku really appreciated Zabuza. Naruto begins crying thinking about how Haku sacrificed his life just to save Zabuza. Zabuza takes Naruto’s words to heart and begins crying as well. Zabuza uses his teeth to rip the wraps off his face and asks Naruto to hand him his knife. Naruto throws his knife toward Zabuza and Zabuza catches it with his teeth and charges into the crowd

This episode begins with Naruto’s red-colored chakra breaking into the ground and swirling around the entire fortress. “I’ll kill you,” Naruto shouts as he charges toward Haku. Haku’s throwing knives are deflected by Naruto’s chakra. Naruto runs toward a mirror and breaks it with a punch. Naruto grabs onto Haku’s hand, keeping Haku from flying back into a mirror.

Haku continues to battle with Sasuke and Naruto as Sasuke gradually detects Haku’s movements better and better. He is now confident that he found a way to defeat Haku and instructs Naruto to run outside. Episode 15 begins with both Naruto and Sasuke being knocked back on their feet by Haku’s shadow replications that hide in his crystallized ice mirrors.  Haku explains that with his technique, it appears as if Naruto and Sasuke are practically standing still. Because this skill is a bloodline technique, even Kakashi cannot copy it. Haku asks for them not to hold any grudges, and for both of them to fight for their dreams as they see fit.

Again, Zabuza makes remarks about Sakura and Sasuke being novice’s. Sasuke easily kills the shadow clones that Zabuza replicates. Zabuza realizes that Sasuke has already gotten much stronger.

After Zabuza dodged the shuriken, Naruto appeared and threw a throwing knife at Zabuza. Zabuza was forced to let go of the Barrier holding Kakashi in order to dodge the knife. As Naruto flies away, an enraged Zabuza winds up the shuriken to throw it at Naruto.

Summary:
