Episode 8: Oath of Pain
This episode begins with Kakashi surrounded by the Mist made by Zabuza. Sasuke starts losing his senses and needs to be calmed down by Kakashi. Kakashi insists that he will protect the three of them with his life. Kakashi, Naruto, and Sakura surround the traveler while Kakashi and Zabuza begin battling.

Episode 9: Kakashi – Sharingan Warrior!
This episode picks up from the battle with Zabuza, a jounin from the Mist village. Sasuke has thrown the shuriken at Zabuza, which actually was Naruto cloned as the object. After Zabuza dodged the shuriken, Naruto appeared and threw a throwing knife at Zabuza. Zabuza was forced to let go of the Barrier holding Kakashi in order to dodge the knife. As Naruto flies away, an enraged Zabuza winds up the shuriken to throw it at Naruto.
