How to Read Facebook Chat Messages And Stay Undetected

Want to avoid annoying people on Facebook Chat? In the past you could do that just by not replying and feigning not having seen the message, but ever since Facebook has implemented the read receipt feature on Facebook chats, that excuse doesn’t work anymore.

There is no default Facebook chat setting to disable this ‘feature’, but we’ve found a workaround – a browser extension to remove the ‘Seen’ notice. With this installed, the person you are chatting with will not be able to tell when you have ‘seen’ their message.

Simple 1-Click Installation

To not let people know if you’ve read their Facebook chat messages, go to this website and press the green Get Chat Undetected button. It will then detect what web browser you’re using.

If you’re using Google Chrome, a Chat Undetected installation file will be downloaded into your computer. Close Google Chrome, run that installation file and you’re done.

If you’re using Mozilla Firefox, an add-on notice will appear confirming the installation of Chat-Undetected. Click on Install Now to complete the installation.

Now you’re all set, the irritating ‘Seen’ status is now gone and the friends you are chatting with will not be able to tell if you have ‘seen’ their message.

Uninstalling Chat Undetected

If for some reason, you want to uninstall Chat Undetected, you’ll have to navigate to the settings of your web browsers.

For Google Chrome, go to Settings > Extensions to disable or uninstall Chat Undetected.

For Mozilla Firefox, go to the Add-ons page and you’ll be able to disable or uninstall Chat Undetected under Extensions.

How To Fix The Missing Personal Hotspot Feature by iOS

The Personal Hotspot feature in Apple’s iOS devices was introduced in iOS 4.3 back in 2011. This feature allows you to take advantage of your iPhone or iPad’s internet connection to get online. It’s a great alternative for when your Wi-Fi connection is not working or you simply can’t find a dependable Internet connection anywhere else.

However, we are aware that there are problems in trying to locate this feature, and sometimes it goes M.I.A. for no reason. In fact many users encounter this problem after updating their iOS to a newer version.

In this post, we will try to cover all possible reasons why your Personal Hotspot feature goes missing, and how you can recover it and put it to good use.

#1. Reset Network Settings

Sometimes, when updating your iOS firmware, the iPhone network settings may go haywire causing the Personal Hotspot feature to go missing.

One method of getting your personal hotspot option back is to Reset Network Settings. This will reset every network setting including Wi-Fi passwords you have saved into your iPhone. Here’s how to do it.

Under Settings, tap on General. Scroll to the bottom and you’ll see the Reset button. Tap on it.

Tap on Reset Network Settings after that; when prompted, tap on the red Reset Network Settings button.

Turn off your iPhone then turn it back on and you should get your Personal Hotspot setting back

If you’ve tried this method before and found that it is not working, read on.

#2. Uninstall Data-Managing Apps

In the past, if you’ve installed an app which added a network profile to your phone, you could try uninstalling that app.

Apps like Onavo is said to be great for managing data, however it also installs a network profile to your iPhone which is said to cause issues that remove the Personal Hotspot settings from the iPhone.

To remove a network profile from your phone, go to Settings > General > Profile to uninstall the profile.

After uninstalling the network profile created by a data-managing app, you should uninstall the data managing app too by tapping and holding the app icon until the X button appears on the left top corner of the app icon. Tap on that X to uninstall it.

If this doesn’t work, try Method 3.

#3. Delete Pre-installed Profiles on iPhone

If you have previously installed a data disabling profile like iPhoneNoData.com to block GPRS, EDGE or 3G Internet connection in an earlier iPhone to avoid extra charges for data network access, try to delete that particular installed profile.

It might be able to bring Personal Hotspot option back. To remove iPhone Configuration Profiles, go to Settings > General > Profiles. Tap the profile name like "Disable Edge 3G" and tap "Remove" to discard the particular profile.

Restart your iPhone and check if Personal Hotspot is back.

Still can’t find Personal Hotspot? Try the next method.

#4. Delete iPhone Configuration Profiles on Mac

If you’re not able to see a pre-installed data service blocking profile at Settings > General > Profile, perhaps deleting your iPhone configuration profiles on a Mac can solve your problem.

To delete iPhone confirguration profiles on Mac, you need to install iPhone Configuration Utility 3.5, a free utility to maintain configuration profiles. Upon installation, launch iPhone Configration Utility.

Click on "Configuration Profiles" on the left sidebar.

Select installed profiles like "Disable Data Services", "Disable Edge 3G" or a similar profile name, press Delete to remove it from your iPhone configuration profiles.

Restart your iPhone and you should be able to see the Personal Hotspot option in your iPhone now.

#5. Reset iPhone To Factory Settings

If all the above does not get you back your Personal Hostpot settings, then you probably need to restore your iPhone to Factory Settings. But doing this will erase all your data from your iPhone, restoring it to the its original untarnished status (right out of the box).

So before doing this, we’ll advise you to visit your local carrier provider and ask them to take a look at it for you (some people reported that this fixed their Personal Hotspot issue, so it’s worth a shot).

When all else fails

To Reset or Restore your iPhone to Factory Settings, first go to Settings and then General. At the bottom, tap on Reset.

Then tap on Erase All Content and Settings, and when prompted, tap Erase iPhone.

Your iPhone should then go through the resetting process and you’ll see the Apple logo with a loading bar.

Remember, this method removes all your personal info, settings, apps and data including Photos and Music; this step should definitely bring back your Personal Hotspot settings but at the cost of your data.

Integrating Office 2013

First thing you have to do is to download and install the Dropbox and Google Drive clients on your Windows 7 or 8 PC. Next, you have to download 2 .bat files to integrate Dropbox and Google Drive, respectively.

Adding Dropbox

Let’s start with Dropbox. Download this file and run it as an administrator.

A command prompt window will appear. Press any key to continue.

It’ll now ask you to type in the folder path of your Dropbox folder. Unless you changed the path of your folder, the default path would be ‘C:\Users\[your username]\Dropbox‘, type it in and hit Enter.

You’ll now see a few lines confirming that it has been successfully installed. Hit any key to close the window.

Adding Google Drive

With Google Drive, it’s pretty much the same few steps. Download this file and run it as an administrator.

A command prompt window will appear. Press any key to continue.

Type in the folder path of your Google Drive folder; the default path should be ‘C:\Users\[your username]\Google Drive‘, then hit the Enter key.

It’ll then confirm the installation. Hit any key to close the window.

Enabling Dropbox And Google Drive

To enable these 2 cloud services to Office 2013, open one of their products, let’s say Word, and click on ‘File’ at the top left.

Then click on Add a Place and click on Dropbox and Google Drive.

It’ll take a few seconds to load and once it’s done you’ll see it added to the list.

Want Out?

In the event that you want to remove these services, you can go to Account and under ‘Connected Services’ click on the ‘Remove’ link.

Adding background image with CSS is nothing new, this feature has been there since its inception. But we were limited to only add one image in one declaration block. Now, CSS3 is raising the stakes by proiding you the option of adding multiple backgrounds.

How to use it?

In the old days, when we need to add more than one background image, we most likely will interrupt the HTML structure as well as add more classes to achieve the desired result through CSS, something like this.

 background-image: url("images/overcast.png");
 background-position: 150px 25px;
}
.rainbow {
 background-image: url("images/rainbow.png");
 background-position: 200px 10px;
}
.overcast2 {
 background-image: url("images/overcast.png");

}

The code above is clearly superfluous. In CSS3, this code can be concatenated in single background-image property, as follows;

In this code, we have added the same four images with different positions in accordance, producing this stunning results.

Adding Animation Effect

Furthermore, we can make the result even more stunning by adding CSS3 Animations. To make the coding simpler, we are going to use only the standard syntax from W3C, but remember that the browsers – IE9, Firefox, Opera, Chrome, and Safari – still need their respective prefixes for this to work.
