: Ichigo Krosaki, who is a 15-year-old boy, is the hero of the show with the ability to see ghosts. The episodes starts out with Ichigo helping a young girl ghost. The next day, Ichigo finds her again, but this time she is about to get eaten by a monster. However, a soul reaper, Rukia Kuchiki comes and saves both Ichigo and the girl. Rukia is surprised that Ichigo, a human, can see her due to her being a spirit. While Rukia is visiting Ichigo, a appears and attacks and terrorizes, Ichigo, Ichigo's family, and Rukia. Rukia suffers a grave injury and decides to transfer her powers to Ichigo
